A couple examples of how my big hands keep killing me

This one isn't too too bad.

PokerStars Game #14465068519: Tournament #73372169, $4.00+$0.40 Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2008/01/10 - 18:52:45 (ET)

pagnottebert: raises 1940 to 2500 and is all-in
golfking0916: folds
crushmastac: calls 1550 and is all-in
I figured these things are donkey-ish enough that I might be good here sometimes, because who flat calls a 4x open with stacks these deep with QQ+?
Rabo Karabek: calls 800 and is all-in
Rabo Karabek said, "lol"
*** TURN *** [7s 5h 8d] [2c]

Apparently he does.

I got a teeny side pot and didn't get anywhere, busting soon after.

This one made life a bit more frustrating

PokerStars Game #14466016716: Tournament #73376254, $4.00+$0.40 Hold'em No Limit - Level I (10/20) - 2008/01/10 - 19:37:28 (ET)

blumdiggity: calls 20
Buster727: folds
pjk0224: calls 20

This guy is running tight enough that I know he has a decent hand here, but I'm pretty sure I'm good vs his range.
tiny8145: folds
jimmymac55+1: folds
Frostydad: folds
crushmastac: raises 1700 to 1920 and is all-in
LightningLee: folds
blumdiggity: folds

crushmastac collected 260 from side pot
B5050: shows [Ks Ac] (two pair, Aces and Kings)
B5050 collected 4280 from main pot
And I win a nice lil 260 side pot. Losing races is -EV...and something I'm doing a lot of lately.

And then this was a little tilty. The thing that kills me is sportsfan has been running a rediculous 70/40/4 over 20 hands, so the one time I pick up a hand...

Aww common, are you fscking kidding me??
#1sportsfa collected 5100 from main pot
I got a 2200 side pot this time, but it didn't last long. A couple key hands later and I'm done.

The consolation side pots are lovely... :/

I'm playing while I write this and I've just gone out of two more with 99 to a guy who called my 3-bet pre with A7 out of position and flopped an A... I just can't get anything going right now. I've got one left, I'm running totally dead, but that's okay, cuz if I pick up a big hand, it'll probably screw me.

Guess I'm waiting for a BB special or two.

Grr.

Ouch. Well, you played every hand correctly. The guy trapped with KK - pretty amateur.

Poker is a sick game. Especially the online poker.

its so frustrating to go through such a long period of time being a little below break-even when you know you're playing at a level where most of the field isn't spectacular. And I don't even know if I'd call the KK trapping. To flat call such a small raise with the stacks so deep just strikes me as moronic. ..I guess it paid off for him though. ..That time. Bleh.
